Patient Care Aide
Course Objectives
Students will be able to seek employment as a Patient Care Aide and to be educated with the most relevant courses and practical methods available in the homecare field to work in the State of New York.
Course Description
Our course is approved by the New York State Department of Education in conjunction with NYS Department of State.
The approved curriculum includes many topics such as:
- Infection control
- Human needs
- Personal care skills
- Vital signs
- Nutrition
- Emergency care, etc.
Practicum:
No internship required.
Certification:
After completing all course requirements, the student is given a Global School of Health Patient Care Aide certificate. Along with the certification, graduate will be registered in the New York State Home Care Registry, giving them the ability to work in patient homes.
Upon graduation, Global School of Health has job placement assistance available on site.
Duration:
The Patient Care Aide is taught over a total of 40 Hours.

Requirements for enrollment
- Picture ID(passport, driver’s license or state ID, or military ID)
- Complete school application
- Annual Physical
- Social Security Card is NOT required
- High School Diploma or a GED (If a student is unable to provide a copy of the diploma he/she may take a NO COST entrance exam.)
