Course Description

Our Vocational English as a Second Language (ESL) program is specifically designed to help healthcare professionals who are non-native English speakers succeed in their field. We understand the importance of clear communication in healthcare, and our program is tailored to meet the unique needs of healthcare professionals. To ensure our students are well-placed in our program, we administer an entrance exam to assess their current level of English proficiency. Based on the results, students are placed in one of our five levels, ranging from Beginner to High Advanced. As students progress through our program, they will have the opportunity to move up to higher levels, achieving milestones and gaining confidence in their language skills. Our levels include:

  • Beginner: Foundations of English language and healthcare terminology
  • Elementary: Building vocabulary and basic communication skills
  • Intermediate: Developing fluency and understanding of medical concepts
  • Advanced: Refining communication skills and mastering complex healthcare scenarios
  • High Advanced: Achieving near-native fluency and expertise in healthcare communication

Through our intensive program, students will improve their English language proficiency, develop industry-specific vocabulary and terminology, and enhance their communication skills to provide top-notch patient care. Our interactive lessons use real-life scenarios, role-plays, and group discussions to prepare students for the demands of the healthcare field. We also focus on pronunciation and accent reduction training to ensure our students can communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Additionally, we provide job search and resume building assistance
to help our students achieve their career goals. Through our program, students will participate in engaging role-play activities that simulate real-world healthcare scenarios, such as patient consultations, medical emergencies, and team collaborations. These activities help students build confidence in their communication skills and prepare them for the fast-paced healthcare environment. By the end of our program, our students will have the skills, confidence, and cultural competence to excel in their healthcare careers.
